Charlie, Grandpa Joe, Willy Wonka, Mrs Bucket, and the Oompa Loompas.

What happens in the book?

Charlie Bucket and his family were very poor, they couldn’t afford very much.

Then, one day, Charlie found some money down a drain, and treated himself to a “Wonka’s chocolate bar.” Inside the wrapper, he found a golden ticket, a pass to visit Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory!

What did you like/dislike about the book?

I didn’t like the Oompa Loompas. They were boring, especially when they sang. I liked Augustus Gloop. He was very funny and greedy. I hated Veruca Salt, but otherwise, it was great!
