Who are the main characters?

The main characters are Arran and his nan.

What happens in the book?

Arran’s team gets to the cup final. Arran is their best striker, but their keeper gets injured, so Arran has to play in goals. It was too foggy to play the match so they just went to a penalty shoot-out. After all the players had taken a penalty, it was still a draw, so the managers had to take the penalties. Arran’s manager scored and he saved the opposing team’s manager’s penalty shoot, so Riverside United won the cup.

What did you like/dislike about the book?

I really liked the part when Riverside United won the cup, and when Arran’s team’s manager saved the other team’s manager’s penalty shoot. I didn’t like the bit when Billy Skinner got suspended, even though he was their best midfielder, but he did get to play again, and ended up scoring a penalty shoot.
